About

Dnolander5Darren Nolander has built his 20-year career in the mortgage industry by understanding how to successfully navigate all stages of the real estate cycle. From booms to busts, low rates to high, Darren has honed his skills and fostered relationships with borrowers, real estate agents and other key players to make the homebuying process as seamless as possible for everyone involved. Darren now finds himself on the other side of the coin, elevating those within the mortgage industry as they foster their own relationships and hone their own unique skill sets.

Darren does precisely this as the Southwest regional vice president for American Pacific Mortgage (APM). He provides extensive support and resources to his vast network of branches and branch managers throughout Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii. In this capacity, Darren is able to successfully oversee the execution of APM strategies that ultimately lead to healthy P&Ls and profit expectations. Darren’s primary goal is to ensure the individual, branch, region and company experiences positive growth on a daily basis.

Over his storied career, Darren has overseen the Western division business development for Finance of America; the national retail branch operations for Impac Mortgage Corp.; the brand guidelines development and strategic brand management for Summit Mortgage Corp.; the cultivation of wholesale mortgage accounts for Hyperion Capital Group; and the management of wholesale and correspondent accounts for New Century Financial where he was a member of the President’s Club from 2002 to 2007.
Darren was racking up accolades even early than that, however. He was also named Rookie of the Year in 2000 from Long Beach Mortgage, proving he had a knack for the mortgage industry from a very early age.

When he’s not developing new talent or providing support to colleagues, Darren loves to spend his time outdoors. A native of Portland, Ore., who now calls San Diego home, Darren can often be found surfing, golfing, snowboarding, motorcycling or generally enjoying everything nature has to offer.
